We are looking for a Senior Load Test Engineer to build our performance testing practice from the ground up. You will be the first dedicated performance engineer on the team, working closely with developers and architects to ensure our web applications, APIs, microservices, and databases perform reliably at scale.
Our Criteria: * 5+ years in performance/load testing, including greenfield practice experience * Strong Python skills (preferred) or JavaScript — for writing test scenarios, data generators, and analysis scripts * Hands-on experience with Locust (preferred) or k6 * Deep knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, REST, GraphQL, and auth flows (JWT, OAuth 2.0) under load * Grafana + Prometheus/InfluxDB and at least one APM tool (Datadog, New Relic, or Dynatrace) * Experience running distributed load tests on cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure) * CI/CD integration experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI) * Strong SQL skills for database performance investigation * Able to work autonomously and drive adoption across teams
Your Responsibilities: * Define and own the performance testing practice end-to-end * Establish Locust or k6 as the primary framework and build a reusable test script library * Design test scenarios: load, stress, spike, soak, and endurance * Set up observability infrastructure (Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB) for test runs * Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines * Identify bottlenecks across app, database, and infrastructure layers * Maintain, debug, and continuously improve test scripts * Form and keep up to date the load testing profile * Produce reports with root-cause analysis and actionable recommendations
Nice to have: * Chaos engineering tools (Chaos Monkey, Gremlin) * Message queues under load (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Our Offer: * Flexible work setup — work remotely or from the office, we focus on results, not location; * Support for a comfortable work environment — we compensate coworking expenses and EcoFlow power stations to help our team stay productive during power outages in Ukraine; * Unlimited vacation and sick leave, because we trust our people to manage their time responsibly; * Relocation support for team members who want to move; * Regular performance-based bonuses that reward individual and team impact; * Learning support — we cover 50% of professional courses and development programs; * Language & wellbeing support — we cover 50% of English classes and psychological consultations; * Career growth opportunities — we prioritize internal promotions and development; * Team culture that actually feels like one — regular gifts, company merch, and team events throughout the year; * Real impact — we are small enough for every voice to be heard and big enough to turn great ideas into action quickly.
