About the role:
As an Expert Solution Architect, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. Together, we will work on modern digital solutions for an established enterprise client, designing scalable architectures and applying best engineering practices to deliver innovative products and exceptional customer experiences.
Responsibilities: * Identify key business stakeholders and establish effective communication with them * Identify business goals and objectives * Gather primary functionality requirements, quality characteristics of software behavior, and solution constraints * Elaborate business, information, and technology architecture mappings * Develop an architecture vision that satisfies architecturally significant requirements through trade-off analysis, proof-of-concept implementation, and benchmarking * Set up and manage architecture design and documentation processes * Document and communicate architecture decisions and trade-offs to key stakeholders * Review and validate design decisions made by downstream teams to ensure alignment with the solution architecture vision * Organize and maintain knowledge assets * Conduct recruitment interviews and support selection and onboarding processes * Set performance targets and monitor progress against agreed quality and performance criteria * Identify potential risk events and document their probability and impact on the business * Identify communication and relationship needs of stakeholder groups and implement stakeholder engagement plans * Develop and evolve innovation tools, processes, and infrastructures to drive innovation initiatives * Contribute to the development of policies, standards, and guidelines for strategy development and planning
Requirements: * Experience leading the development of system architectures in business, infrastructure, or functional domains * Ability to ensure appropriate tools and methods are available and applied during architecture development * Experience providing technical guidance on solution development and integration * Experience applying technical strategies, policies, standards, and engineering practices * Strong expertise in systems design methods, tools, and techniques * Experience conducting impact analysis for major design options and architectural trade-offs * Experience contributing to design policies, standards, and architecture component selection * Comprehensive understanding of software engineering paradigms and methodologies such as SOLID, GRASP, TDD, and DDD * Strong foundation in designing solutions aligned with operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization, and sustainability principles * Experience planning and driving requirements scoping, definition, and prioritization for large or complex initiatives * Ability to understand client requirements, perform data analysis, and deliver problem resolution * Experience planning and conducting audits to ensure appropriate quality control practices * Experience assessing, analyzing, planning, and designing release packages including risk assessment * Experience conducting post-release reviews and ensuring release processes allow safe rollback when needed * Business acumen enabling alignment of technology solutions with organizational objectives * Strategic thinking with the ability to design scalable architectures anticipating future business needs * Leadership skills enabling effective decision-making and collaboration across cross-functional teams * Experience identifying and mitigating risks associated with architectural and technology decisions * Experience managing organizational change and supporting smooth transitions during transformation initiatives * Experience supporting financial planning activities including budgeting and financial monitoring
Desirable: * Certifications in architecture frameworks such as SEI or TOGAF * Certifications with cloud providers such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform * Certifications in delivery frameworks such as SAFe or Agile
