About the Role We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer with hands-on Unity experience to take ownership of user experience and interface design for a mobile application shipping on both Android and iOS.
In this role, you will not only define UX direction and validate design decisions, but also implement UI directly within Unity across both platforms. You will work closely with engineers, artists, and product stakeholders to ensure that the user experience is thoughtful, feasible, and aligned with both user needs and business goals.
What You’ll Do
* Own and drive end-to-end UX/UI design for a consumer-facing mobile application built in Unity;
* Design and implement UI components directly in Unity, ensuring consistent quality across Android and iOS;
* Define, test, and iterate UX hypotheses related to user behavior, engagement, and retention;
* Design user flows, information architecture, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI for core features;
* Translate abstract product goals into clear, intuitive, and emotionally engaging user experiences;
* Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure designs are realistic, scalable, and well-implemented on both platforms;
* Analyze user behavior data, usability testing results, and qualitative feedback to identify UX issues and opportunities;
* Continuously refine and improve the user experience through iterative design cycles;
* Conduct UX reviews and design audits to ensure consistency, usability, and accessibility;
* Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of a cohesive design system within Unity;
* Act as a UX advocate within the team, raising the overall quality of product decision-making.
Requirements
Experience
* 5+ years of professional UI/UX design experience for mobile applications;
* Proven experience designing and implementing UI in Unity for both Android and iOS;
* Proven experience working on consumer-facing products (apps, services, or games);
* Experience owning UX for complex features or systems, not just individual screens;
* Strong track record of collaborating with engineers and product teams;
* Experience shipping and iterating on live products on both mobile platforms.
Skills
* Deep understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and information architecture;
* Proficiency in Unity UI systems (e.g., Unity UI / UI Toolkit) with practical implementation experience;
* Understanding of platform-specific UX patterns and constraints for both Android and iOS;
* Ability to articulate design decisions clearly and logically;
* Strong proficiency with modern design tools (Figma or equivalent);
* Experience using data, user feedback, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
Soft Skills
