Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Event & Asset organization, building and operating the systems that power invoicing, billing, and payments at scale. This role sits at the intersection of financial systems, event-driven architecture, and modern agentic platforms, offering the opportunity to build systems that directly impact revenue, financial accuracy, and business trust.
You will work on modern, event-driven financial platforms at scale, specifically high-throughput, highly reliable backend services that process financial and asset-related events. You’ll gain hands-on experience with agentic architectures and next-generation service coordination, operating in an agentic environment using MCP-based tool servers and agent-to-agent (A2A) communication. This work requires strong ownership, attention to correctness, and close collaboration across engineering, product, and finance, where you’ll collaborate with a pragmatic, high-ownership engineering team and influence the technical direction of a core platform with long-term impact.
Key Responsabilities * Design, build, and maintain backend services for invoicing, billing, and payments * Develop and operate event- and message-driven systems for processing financial and asset-related events at scale * Operate in an agentic environment using MCP-based tool servers and agent-toagent (A2A) communication * Own services end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support * Collaborate with product, finance, and engineering partners to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions * Improve system reliability, performance, scalability, and observability * Participate in architecture and design discussions, helping evolve platform standards and best practices * Mentor and support other engineers through code reviews, design feedback, and knowledge sharing

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Experience with Salesforce, especially integrations related to billing, invoicing, CPQ, or financial workflows * Familiarity with agentic systems, autonomous workflows, or intelligent service orchestration * Knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol) and A2A (Agent-to-Agent) communication protocols * Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) * Exposure to compliance, auditability, or financial correctness requirements * Experience building and operating services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) * Familiarity with distributed systems fundamentals: idempotency, retries, ordering, schema evolution, and failure handling
Minimum Requirements * Strong backend engineering experience with Java and Python * Solid understanding of billing, invoicing, and payments domains (e.g., ledgers, reconciliation, settlements, taxes, financial events) * Hands-on experience with event/message-driven architectures (Kafka, Pub/Sub, or similar) * Strong SQL and data modeling skills * A collaborative mindset with openness to team-based design and problem solving * Clear communication skills and comfort working in cross-functional environments
