About the Role FuturumShop is a leading distributor and manufacturer of sports equipment and accessories with a strong presence in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. The company was awarded Best Webshop 2019/2020 in the Sports/Bikes category and continues to scale its digital commerce operations.
In partnership with Bintime, we have been building and supporting two high-traffic e-commerce platforms and a mobile application for over 10 years. The ecosystem includes AI-driven features, scalable infrastructure, and production-level DevOps practices.
We are currently looking for a Middle Python Backend Engineer with a strong DevOps mindset who can combine backend development with infrastructure support and ownership. Requirements * 3+ years of experience with Python * Django 5.x, Django REST Framework * Async/await, asyncio * Celery + Redis * Experience integrating OpenAI API or other LLM services * Solid understanding of REST APIs and system design * Docker and basic Kubernetes experience * CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions or similar) * Experience with MySQL, Redis * Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Will be a plus * Experience with RAG / vector databases (Pinecone, Elasticsearch) * Terraform or Ansible * AWS or GCP * Basic knowledge of PHP (Laravel / Symfony) * E-commerce experience
Responsibilities * Build and maintain Django REST APIs for AI-driven features * Integrate LLM services (OpenAI/Gemini) with structured prompts * Implement background processing with Celery * Containerize services and support Kubernetes deployments * Maintain CI/CD pipelines and support production infrastructure * Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams
