And now we are looking for a Middle Data Engineer & Power BI Specialist (.NET Ecosystem) to join us as part of our team. We are looking for a specialist who will help us build a scalable analytical layer, develop high-quality BI reporting, and turn product data into actionable insights. Our backend is built on .NET, so close collaboration with backend engineers and a strong understanding of how data is generated inside the system are key parts of this role. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working across data engineering and analytics, cares about data quality and structure, and enjoys transforming raw product data into meaningful business insights. About the role: We represent an iconic cultural and tourism landmark recognized worldwide. As a premier destination in Seattle, it operates in the highly competitive hospitality and tourism industry. The organization manages various aspects of visitor experiences, including event hosting, retail operations, and interactive exhibits.
You will join the team working on a complex system that is used by the company to sell tickets for the observation deck and the exhibition center they run. It consists of a web administration application, a media platform, kiosks, and software for physical devices. The administration application of the solution allows for managing products (or tours of the company’s locations), modifying these products, configuring promotional campaigns and different sales channels, and handling refunds for sold orders.

Work Environment: The role offers a flexible work schedule, allowing you to adapt your working hours with the requirement to attend all team meetings. The team follows a Kanban methodology. As a qualified expert You will Analytical Data Layer * Contribute to the design and development of the analytical layer (data warehouse/datamarts) * Build and maintain data models that support scalable BI and analytics
Data Pipelines & Quality * Develop and maintain data extraction and transformation processes * Ensure data quality through validations, consistency checks, and anomaly detection * Work with backend engineers to improve data collection and structure
BI & Reporting * Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI * Implement best practices for performance (optimized models, incremental refresh, efficient queries) * Support business users in understanding and using BI reports
Сross-Team Collaboration * Work closely with .NET backend engineers to ensure data is structured and logged in an analytics-friendly way * Collaborate with Product and stakeholders to translate business questions into data requirements * Help maintain consistent metric definitions across systems and reports
Analytics & Insights (potential) * Analyze product and business data to identify trends, anomalies, and behavioral patterns * Support data-driven decision-making with clear analytical conclusions * Assist with advanced and predictive analytics initiatives when relevant
We’re looking for you if you haveDesired Skills * 2+ years of professional experience with Power BI * Ability to work with MS SQL Server databases structured via Entity Framework * Experience using Azure SQL Database as data sources * Strong SQL skills (complex queries, aggregations, performance optimization) * Experience designing or supporting ETL/ELT processes * Understanding of how to move data from transactional systems into analytical models * Experience working with large datasets. Familiarity with building and maintaining data pipelines * Experience with Fabric, Azure SQL, T-SQL * Ability to work with partially defined requirements and clarify them with stakeholders * Experience communicating with product, business, and engineering teams * English sufficient for daily communication with the US client (B2)
Nice to have Skills * Experience working with analytical data warehouses or datamarts * Strong knowledge of DAX (including Time Intelligence and filter/row context) * Experience using Power Query (M) for complex data transformation * Solid understanding of data modeling (star schema, fact and dimension tables) * Experience optimizing report performance (model design, measures, refresh strategies) * Understanding of statistical metrics and trend analysis * Ability to go beyond reporting and identify meaningful insights * Experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy) * Exposure to predictive or advanced analytics is a plus
