Objective of the role: At 8allocate, we are shifting the paradigm from general software development and staff augmentation to becoming a niche AI-driven consultancy. As our Account Manager, you won’t just be a point of contact; you will be the bridge between our clients’ business goals and our engineering excellence. Reporting directly to the COO, you will manage a portfolio of 5-10 accounts, ensuring high NPS and fostering account growth.
Cooperation: Long-term. Position: New. Timezone requirements: 9 am. — 6 pm. or 10 am. — 7 pm. UA time zone (UTC+2).
English: Advanced level.
Requirements: * 2+ years of relevant experience in Account Management, Project Management, or Client Success within the IT industry; * Advanced English (written and spoken) is a must; * Proven ability to manage multiple clients and stakeholders simultaneously without losing track of details; * Understanding of both Outstaffing and Outsourcing models; * Experience with reporting, invoicing processes, and basic legal/contractual terminology; * A “get-it-done” attitude — we value a culture of high autonomy and accountability, we don’t track hours; we track results.
Nice to have: * A degree in a technical field or prior experience working closely with software development lifecycles; * Experience managing third-party vendors or external subcontractors within a project team; * Familiarity with AI-driven solutions.
Responsibilities: * Manage a portfolio of 5-10 accounts (predominantly staff augmentation) and drive the adoption of managed projects and outsourcing solutions. You will be responsible for identifying “entry points” where we can move from providing talent to providing full-scale technical solutions and domain-specific consultancy; * Identify upsell opportunities and expansion areas within your accounts to drive revenue growth; * Lead regular syncs with both clients and teams — be the “eyes and ears” on the account to ensure stability and high NPS; * Work closely with HR and Recruitment teams to ensure seamless onboarding, talent retention, and team motivation; * Handle the “business” of the account, including reporting and facilitating legal/paperwork matters; * Take full ownership of the account’s financial health. This includes accurate invoicing, controlling, and tracking client payments, and proactively managing debt collection to ensure no overdue accounts; * Manage projects involving mixed teams, coordinating and overseeing subcontractors; * Be available in US/UK time zones as needed (occasional late-evening communication) and open to international travel for in-person client visits.
