We, at recruitment agency Hiringwise, are looking for a Data Engineer for our partner — European e-commerce company.
It is a direct b2b contract for 12 months.
Location: Europe, fully remoteTech stack:
SQL (window functions, CTEs, performance tuning), Python (data/ETL tooling), Snowflake (preferred) or other cloud data platforms (Databricks, Redshift, Athena), Fivetran (ETL/ELT connectors), AWS (S3, SQS), Airflow/K8s, dbt.
We are looking for a candidate who has:
* 4+ years of Data Engineering experience;
* Proficiency with a modern cloud Data platforms and Data Lakes (Snowflake preferred; Databricks/Redshift/Athena acceptable);
* Excellent in SQL, Python;
* Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT (DB, files, APIs);
* Upper-Intermediate or higher English skills.
Would be an advantage:
* Deep, practical experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks;
* Experience with DBT;
* Google BigQuery exposure;
* Data Governance topics (catalog/lineage, data contracts, quality, access policies);
* Airflow or similar;
* Kafka / event streaming;
* Supermetrics;
* Solid understanding of database and analytical technologies (partitioning, SCDs, CDC, warehousing patterns).
The tasks include:
* Build and evolve a modern, scalable Data Platform used across the company.
* Design and implement a cloud Data Warehouse / Data Lakehouse.
* Develop robust ELT/ETL pipelines on Python for databases, files, and external APIs.
* Model data for analytics and operational use (dbt / SQL), ensuring quality and freshness.
* Collaborate with BI and engineering teams to turn requirements into data products.
