About the role We are looking for a strong hands-on 2D Animator with solid experience in slot games, who feels confident not only producing high-quality animations but also taking ownership of animation scope on a project level.
This role is ideal for someone who primarily loves working with animations, but is also ready to step into a project-lead or feature-owner role at early project stages: helping with analysis, estimations, task coordination, quality control, and communication with the team and stakeholders. Core Responsibilities (Production First) * Create high-quality 2D animations for slot games: * symbols, characters, UI transitions, win animations, VFX * Work hands-on in Spine 2D (primary tool) * Polish animations with strong attention to timing, dynamics, and visual clarity * Create and refine gameplay effects and VFX to enhance player experience * Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and developers to deliver assets efficiently * Maintain clean, optimized animation files suitable for mobile performance * Participate in project estimations and animation scope analysis
Extended Responsibilities (Project & Team Ownership) * Take ownership of animation scope on assigned projects or features * Participate in early project analysis: * animation complexity * production risks * timelines and dependencies * Help plan and track animation progress * Provide constructive feedback to other animators * Support quality control and ensure animations meet technical and visual requirements * Act as a point of contact for animation topics inside the team * Participate in client communication when required (reviews, clarifications, approvals) * Work closely with PMs, Art Leads, and Producers to ensure smooth delivery
Requirements (Must Have) * Strong experience in 2D animation for games * Professional level in Spine 2D * Solid understanding of classical animation principles * Proven experience with slot games (or strong casual/stylized projects) * Experience with Adobe After Effects * Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop * Understanding of game production pipelines * Ability to estimate tasks and work within deadlines * Comfortable giving and receiving feedback * Strong communication skills * English level: Intermediate+ (for internal communication and occasional client calls)
Nice to Have * Experience working with Unity * Understanding of Unity-based VFX * Experience with Blender or other 3D tools * Prior experience as feature owner, project lead, or mentor * Experience designing performance-friendly animations for mobile
