UKEESS Software House team is looking for a Middle/Senior FullStack JS Engineer (React/Node) to join our team for a full-time position (remotely in Ukraine or in Lviv’s office).

Our customer is the world’s largest DNA network from the USA. With more than 60 billion digitized historical records, 100 million family trees, and 18 million people in a growing DNA database, our customers help people discover their family stories and gain actionable insights about their health and wellness.
Our team focuses on building robust backend-driven solutions and internal tools that power the company’s core business logic. We are currently architecting a next-generation pricing and packaging system to modernize how we manage product offerings, discounts, and subscriptions. Additionally, we develop and maintain a proprietary Customer Data Platform (CDP) that captures real-time behavioral data to provide marketing teams with the high-fidelity insights needed for targeted campaigns. Our mission is to transform complex data into scalable, high-performance systems that drive business growth and personalized customer experiences.
Responsibilities will include: * Design and build scalable REST APIs using Node.js/Java, Redis, and MySQL to support mobile and web applications with a focus on performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability * Develop and enhance marketing platforms and internal tools using ReactJS, Java, and Node.js * Integration with Marketing platforms like Braze, CDP, etc. * Perform detailed code reviews to uphold coding standards, promote best practices, and mentor team members through constructive feedback * Stay current with emerging technologies in Data Engineering, Al integration, and modern development frameworks; proactively evaluate and introduce improvements to enhance system scalability and developer productivity * Lead technical excellence through robust design reviews, schema evolution planning, and automation within CI/CD pipelines * Create clear, comprehensive documentation, including design proposals, API specifications, and internal technical knowledge-sharing materials.
Requirements: * 4+ years of experience with Node.js * 4+ years of experience with ReactJS and modern frontend development * 4+ years of experience developing REST APIs * Strong working knowledge of Docker, Terraform * Solid knowledge and experience with MySQL * Experience with AWS cloud services (ECS/Lambda/CloudWatch/S3) * Comfortable with data pipelines and deploying models in cloud environments such as AWS * Proficient with Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration * Experienced in working in Agile development environments * A strong collaborator who thrives in team-oriented settings * English: Upper-Intermediate level at least (both spoken and written)
Nice to have skills: * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field * Hands-on experience in using any coding agent * Experience with Apache NiFi or Apache Airflow for data pipeline development * Practical experience applying AI/ML concepts in production systems or applications * Knowledge and experience with Java
