The management, sales, and support teams are based in the U.S., while the engineering team is located in Ukraine. The company offers long-term, stable collaboration, predictable workloads, and a strong engineering culture focused on quality and impact.
Their flagship product is a validated reading assessment tool designed to identify the root causes of students’ reading challenges and deliver clear, actionable insights for educators. In parallel, the team is actively developing a scalable platform for creating and administering new assessments and intervention programs. Location Remote (EU, Ukraine) Responsibilities — Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for our platform.
— Perform manual and automated testing to ensure functionality, usability, performance, and accessibility meet high standards.
— Collaborate closely with developers and the product owner to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
— Identify, document, and track defects; work with the team to prioritize and resolve issues.
— Contribute to improving QA processes, tools, and best practices in a supportive team environment. Requirements — 1,5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including manual and automated testing.
— Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
— Experience testing web applications, backend services (Java-based is a plus), and databases (SQL/PostgreSQL).
— Intermediate English for reading specifications and communicating with the team.
— Comprehension of Russian or Ukrainian to participate in technical discussions.
— Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality educational software.
— Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, informal team culture. Nice-to-Haves — Experience with accessibility testing (WCAG standards) or educational software.
— Familiarity with automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, or tools like Docker.
— Background in testing AI/ML features or performance/load testing. Core Technologies Java, Hibernate, PostgreSQL, AWS, GWT, Docker, Go.
