Your job will be to ensure the quality of Testomat.io — a modern test management platform built for QA engineers and developers who care about clarity, automation, and real test insights.
You’ll work on both manual and automated testing, making sure Testomat.io works reliably with popular test frameworks, CI/CD tools, and custom reporters. You won’t just “write autotests” — you’ll help shape our automation ecosystem, investigate complex issues, and support clients in real production cases.
This role is for someone who’s ready to jump in fast, take ownership, and actively contribute to both automation and product quality. ✅ Responsibilities * Actively participate in manual and exploratory testing, not only automation * Build and maintain test automation using JS/TS, Playwright, and CodeceptJS * Improve and support existing reporter plugins (mainly JS/TS-based) * Fix defects in reporters and plugins when issues are discovered * Occasionally support plugins written in Java and Python (optional, not core) * Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automation tasks * Work with multiple CI systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure, etc.) * Communicate with clients in English, helping investigate and resolve complex issues * Analyze tricky edge cases and understand why something doesn’t work — not just that it doesn’t
Requirements * Strong hands-on experience in automation testing * Confident automation skills in JavaScript / TypeScript * Experience with Playwright and CodeceptJS * Solid understanding of testing principles, not only automation frameworks * Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines * Ability to investigate complex technical issues independently * Good English communication skills — client interaction is part of the role
Nice to Have * Basic programming experience in Java and/or Python * Experience maintaining or developing test reporters or plugins * Previous work on testing tools or QA infrastructure * Experience supporting external clients or users * Product-oriented mindset — thinking beyond “just tasks”
