About the Project We are building a modern, feature-rich HRIS web application with complex business logic and multiple third-party integrations. Our product helps businesses manage HR processes efficiently and at scale.
Our technology stack includes Angular on the front end, Laravel (PHP) on the back end, MySQL, and AWS infrastructure. We work in an agile environment with a strong focus on code quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Your Role As a Senior PHP Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our back-end development team in Lviv. You will work primarily with Laravel, improving and extending an existing HRIS platform, as well as developing new integrations and features.
You will quickly onboard by reviewing the current codebase and documentation and start delivering value within your first month. What You’ll Do * Develop, test, and maintain high-quality PHP code using Laravel * Design and implement new features and system integrations * Work closely with front-end engineers, QA, DevOps, and business analysts * Ensure application performance, security, and scalability * Review and improve existing codebase * Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) * Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues * Maintain clear technical documentation * Communicate with product managers, designers, and the CTO to align on requirements
What We’re Looking For * 5+ years of commercial experience with PHP, strong expertise in Laravel * Solid experience with MySQL, database design, and optimization * Experience working with AWS (CodeCommit is a plus) * Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) * Experience with RESTful APIs * Familiarity with agile development practices * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Good communication skills and ability to work in an international team * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience * Upper-Intermediate level of spoken English
