About the Role We are looking for a Python Developer with strong Cloud expertise (GCP-focused) to join our team. In this role, you will primarily work on backend development, cloud-native services, and automation running in Google Cloud Platform. You’ll collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to design scalable services, build internal tools, and integrate cloud infrastructure directly into application logic. Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain backend services and automation tools in Python. * Design and implement cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). * Build integrations with GCP services (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, GCS, BigQuery, etc.). * Write clean, maintainable, and testable Python code. * Implement and support CI/CD workflows from the developer’s perspective. * Collaborate with DevOps/Infra teams on infrastructure-as-code and deployment strategies. * Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability in the cloud. * Participate in architectural decisions related to cloud and backend systems.
Requirements * Strong experience as a Python Developer (backend, automation, or platform development). * Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). * Experience building and deploying applications using Docker. * Understanding of cloud-native patterns (stateless services, async processing, event-driven systems). * Familiarity with Terraform or similar IaC tools (at a developer level). * Experience working with APIs, message queues, and background workers. * Basic understanding of Kubernetes (usage, not necessarily cluster administration). * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Nice to Have * Experience with Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, or Firebase * Knowledge of async Python (asyncio, FastAPI, etc.) * Experience with monitoring/logging from the application side * Startup or product-oriented background
What We Offer * Part-time position (20 hours per week) with flexible working hours. * Competitive hourly rate. * Fully remote work environment. * Real influence on architecture and technical decisions. * Opportunity to work with modern Python and GCP stack. * Long-term collaboration potential and professional growth.
