We are looking for a Remote Product Manager / Business Analyst to join the Severus team — a product advisory and consulting company that helps non-technical founders and established businesses launch software products with clarity, speed, and strong strategic foundations. Our ideal teammate is someone who genuinely cares about understanding why a client wants to build a product, can uncover the real problem behind the request, propose thoughtful solutions, and communicate them clearly and confidently.
You’ll work closely with founders, designers, and technical advisors to shape products from idea to validated concept — before a single line of code is written. This is a remote, flexible role where you’ll be deeply involved in shaping real products, not just documenting requirements.
Responsibilities * Work directly with founders and business stakeholders to understand goals, constraints, user problems, and success metrics. * Translate client vision into structured documentation: BRDs, SRS, feature briefs, problem statements, user flows, and acceptance criteria. * Explore solution options, evaluate trade-offs, and present clear recommendations with reasoning. * Facilitate discussions and workshops to clarify requirements and align expectations. * Collaborate daily with designers: creating concepts, defining flows, validating UX decisions, and ensuring clarity for development. * Break down high-level ideas into structured feature sets, epics, and stories. * Support prioritisation and roadmap planning based on impact, effort, and business value. * Maintain consistency of product logic across different modules and versions. * Communicate proactively with clients, explain decisions, outline alternatives, and guide them through product thinking. * Ensure all documentation is understandable, structured, and development-ready.
What’s Important * You think in terms of value creation, not just “tasks delivered”. * You enjoy getting to the root of the problem and asking the right questions — even when the client doesn’t know what they need yet. * You can explain complex things in simple language and provide options with arguments for (and against) each. * You feel comfortable challenging assumptions respectfully and guiding clients to better product decisions. * You have experience with BRDs, SRS, user stories, flows, and UX collaboration. * You’re proactive, organised, and able to manage ambiguity. * You’ve worked with designers or product teams before and can sketch a concept/flow to communicate an idea. * You care about the outcome, not just the process. * Experience in SaaS or startups is a plus. * Strong English communication skills (written & spoken) are important.
Why Severus You’ll join a small, sharp, strategic team that works on meaningful products for international clients (UK/EU/US). You’ll influence decisions, shape solutions, and work closely with founders — not sit in a task factory.
