Our products are mission-critical and require high availability, strong security, and a strong engineering culture. This is a technically hands-on Engineering Manager role with approximately 70% technical leadership and 30% people management. We are looking for a strong technical leader with a factual engineering background, not a coordination-only role.
You will work with three in-house product engineering teams, responsible for mission-critical services.

Must-have experience * 3-5+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager or Technical Lead with people management * Strong hands-on engineering background (Backend or platform teams) * Experience leading product teams in production environments * Proven delivery, ownership, and incident management experience * Ability to make and defend technical decisions * Experience working closely with product and business stakeholders
Nice to have * Experience with high-load or mission-critical systems * Strong understanding of system performance, reliability, and security * Experience working with multiple teams in parallel
What You’ll Do: * Own technical delivery of product teams: quality, stability, and security * Define and maintain a clear Definition of Done * Review and validate technical and architectural decisions * Participate hands-on when needed (code review, validation, technical deep dives) * Improve testing and deployment processes * Participate in service and database architecture design * Validate proposed solutions with a focus on performance, reliability, and security * Identify and manage technical and delivery risks * Contribute to overall engineering standards and practices * Participate in incident management and problem resolution * Work with SLA / SLO, monitoring, and operational readiness * Collaborate with System Engineering and security teams on reliability and security topics * Support and grow engineers through regular feedback and mentoring * Conduct performance reviews and development plans * Help shape team structure for sustainable delivery * Participate in hiring and onboarding engineers * Contribute to role definitions and adaptation plans * Support a culture of continuous learning and improvement
