We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (part-time) to join a critical project in the medical domain.
What is the project idea?
This platform is a critical digital mental healthcare system for our client in The Netherlands, encompassing secure video sessions, scheduling automation, and therapist/patient portals.
The project’s main goal is scaling and modernization. Your role is essential in building and maintaining a highly secure, multi-instance hosting model, ensuring stability and achieving strict compliance with healthcare regulations, including GDPR and local standards like NEN 7510/12/13.

Requirements and responsibilities
Hard skills * At least 4+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps; * Deep expertise with Azure infrastructure (IaaS, Networking, Security); * Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design and implementation (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions); * Proficiency in infrastructure automation and configuration management; * Hands-on experience with containerization, specifically Docker, and automating per-customer instance provisioning (multi-tenant architecture); * Operational experience with Postgres administration; * Proven track record in implementing monitoring, alerting, and centralized logging solutions for observability and audit trails; * Critical experience in security hardening and ensuring compliance with regulations like GDPR, NEN 7510/12/13 (e.g., secrets management, encryption, access controls); * Upper-Intermediate level of English or higher.
Responsibilities * Infrastructure Management: Stabilize and continuously optimize the core Azure infrastructure across all environments (dev, staging, prod), while driving performance and cost efficiency; * CI/CD Pipeline Setup: Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments; * Automation: Automate per-customer instance provisioning, including secure, isolated Dockerized deployments; * Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security controls and policies to meet stringent healthcare compliance standards (GDPR, NEN 7510/12/13), including secrets management and encryption; * Monitoring and Logging: Establish and maintain comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and centralized logging to provide necessary observability and audit capabilities; * Reliability: Architect and manage effective strategies for backups and disaster recovery.
