About the Position:
LetsData is looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer who will take ownership of product quality across multiple user-facing and data-driven systems. The role includes structured testing, exploratory work, data validation, and ensuring secure, stable releases.
Format: Part-time / Freelance
Location: Remote, Ukraine, EMEA
While LetsData’s main hubs are in Kyiv, Lviv, and New York, we operate as a fully remote team. This means that you can work from anywhere, and we welcome applications from candidates based in the EMEA region. We believe in the power of diverse perspectives and understand that talent is not limited by geographical boundaries.
We’re Looking for Someone With:
* 2–4 years of experience in manual QA.
* Strong understanding of UI/UX testing principles.
* Experience writing structured test cases and test documentation.
* Familiarity with exploratory testing techniques.
* Basic understanding of API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
* Ability to document and communicate issues clearly.
* Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
* Ability to take ownership of assigned quality areas.
Nice to Have:
* Experience with email or messaging workflow testing.
* Basic familiarity with security testing principles (OWASP fundamentals).
* Experience validating data or using analytics tools.
* Experience working in a fast-paced or startup environment.
* Previous experience in related domains (analytics, journalism, media, cyber security, etc.) will be an advantage.
What You’ll Do:
* Perform UI/UX testing and create clear, structured test cases.
* Conduct exploratory testing to identify functional and usability issues.
* Execute regression testing of key functionality before each release.
* Periodically review live features to ensure consistent performance.
* Validate data accuracy by reviewing product metrics and reporting discrepancies.
* Verify correct system behavior, message handling, and user workflows across different interfaces.
* Review email appearance and consistency across different email providers.
* Support alert-related testing, including user behavior analytics and spam-related scenarios.
* Perform basic security testing to identify common vulnerabilities (e.g., access control issues, input validation gaps, unintended user flows).
