About the Project HelloRep.AI is the AI sales assistant chat software developed for Shopify web shops. Rep AI concierge can boost your website’s conversion rate by up to 3 times and handle as much as 97% of your support requests by engaging visitors at the right moment with the right conversation. Rep’s Rescue algorithm uses hundreds of data points to figure out when someone is about to leave your store — and approaches them right on time. It detects with 92% accuracy when someone’s about to leave, starts a contextualized conversation and “rescues” your hard-earned traffic & turns them into buyers.
Why and What we expect: For the purpose of Hellorep.AI web engineering team extension we are looking for a Senior React/Svelte engineer, who is excited to face with different front-end engineering challenges applying the best AI practices of nowadays and working in a “Dream” team of the fast growing USA startup.
Responsibilities: 1. Develop functionality of the system using JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js, Svelte; 2. Write working testable and secure JavaScript code using Clean and SOLID practices; 3. Fix bugs(if found) before delivering the code to QA team; 4. Ability to apply big O notation for code optimization; 5. Commit code to GIT (tested on development stage and ready for test stage); 6. Communicate with customer: • daily Scrum meetings with project team; • Sprint planning meetings with project team; • feedback meetings with customer on demand. 7. Submit daily status reports in time tracking system about the work that was done during a day including spent hours for each task.
Process: • Follow project work schedule: 09-50 — 19-00, 1-2 hour for break/lunch • Give a feedback/propositions regarding new ideas and possible improvements of product or engineering process to PM in a written form.

Professional skills Core Technical: • TypeScript (strict mode, no any) — 2+ years • Modern JavaScript (ES6+, async/await, Promises) • React 18+ with Hooks — 3+ years • Redux + redux-observable • RxJS fundamentals • SCSS modules + Material UI (MUI 5) • React Hook Form • Git (Conventional Commits, PR workflows) • Unit testing (Vitest or Jest) • REST APIs & WebSocket integration • Svelte 4 — 3+ years (reactive statements, stores, lifecycle hooks) • Vite build configuration • Shadow DOM & Web Components • CSS Variables & scoped styling • E-commerce/Shopify experience (plus)
Other: • knowledge of Linux based platforms; • Swiper, PhotoSwipe, or similar UI libraries • CI/CD & Docker basics • B2 speaking English level
AI-Assisted Development (Required) Must Have: • Daily use of AI coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT) • IDE integration (not just copy-paste from web) • Ability to validate and review AI-generated code • Understanding of when AI helps vs. slows down
Should Demonstrate: • Iterative prompting (refining prompts, providing context) • Multi-file context management • Catching AI hallucinations (fake APIs, incorrect methods) • Knowledge of different model types (fast vs. reasoning vs. long-context)
Red Flags: • Cannot provide specific examples of AI-assisted work • lindly trusts AI output without validation • No IDE integration — only uses ChatGPT web interface • “AI does everything perfectly”
