We are building an analytics platform that enables users to generate reports on clinical measures used in regulatory reporting programs. This high-impact product directly contributes to improving healthcare outcomes nationwide.
Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain services within an event-driven architecture. * Implement real-time data processing pipelines. * Actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies: planning, estimation, refinement, team syncs, and retrospectives. * Contribute to technical discussions and propose improvements to architecture and development practices. * Deliver features end-to-end: from technical design to production deployment. * Write and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, system).
Candidate Requirements:
Technical Skills: * Strong experience with Git: branching strategy, pull requests, code review, conflict resolution. * Proficient in Python (backend logic, scripts, microservices, or data pipelines). * Experience with OOP languages (C#, Java, Python) and solid understanding of OOP principles. * Practical application of SOLID principles and GoF design patterns (Factory, Strategy, Observer). * Experience with AWS (S3, SQS, Lambda, ECS or equivalent). * Experience building and consuming REST APIs (HTTP basics, status codes, idempotency). * Understanding and practical experience with automated testing (unit, integration/system tests). * Basic knowledge of system scaling (horizontal vs vertical scaling, queues, caching, asynchronous processing). * Experience with Docker (Dockerfiles, containers, networking).
Soft Skills: * Proactive and initiative-driven: able to suggest improvements in architecture, code quality, and team processes. * Strong communication skills: able to discuss tasks, clarify requirements, support teammates, and defend technical decisions. * Willingness to work in an Agile/Scrum team and take responsibility for overall project results.
Nice to Have: * Experience with PySpark or other Big Data frameworks. * Knowledge or experience with ETL/ELT pipelines. * CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). * Hands-on experience with Terraform. * Experience with .NET (C#) or maintaining .NET-based services.
