Digis is seeking an experienced Team Lead (Python + React) to join our remote engineering team. You’ll work alongside a highly technical team, reporting to the COO/CTO.
About the project: A simulation and analytics platform for municipal water utilities. They ingest field sensor data to generate real-time operational guidance (e.g., chlorine dosing, maintenance prioritization). The platform fuses live sensor input, statistical inference, and lab-confirmed event data into explainable recommendations to improve water quality and reduce costs. Project country: Norway (HQ) / Poland (IoT) Age and stage: 9-year-old company operating with a startup mindset; currently building out enterprise-grade ML software. Duration: Long-term Methodology: Startup-style Agile R&D The team: You will work directly with the Founders (CTO as the technical gatekeeper and COO) and collaborate closely with IoT hardware experts based in Poland. As there is no dedicated dev team yet, this hire will become a foundational role responsible for building the team.

Responsibilities: — Lead a cross-functional team, providing architectural solutions and guiding the development of core functionalities. — Collaborate with the Data Science Lead to handle ML integration (pipelines, APIs). — Design and maintain scalable systems, managing deployments (on-prem, private cloud, SaaS), security, and confidential data processing. — Oversee cloud services, containerization (Kubernetes), and CI/CD processes. — Conduct code interviews and lead the hiring and management of a new engineering team. — Work closely with IoT hardware experts to ensure alignment between software and hardware initiatives.
Requirements: — 8+ years of experience in software development — 5+ years of experience with Python — 2+ years of experience with ReactJS — 2+ years of experience with AWS — Experience with ML-Integration and Data Pipelines — Proven experience in Technical Leadership — Sufficient English level for passing a technical interview
