As a Delivery Director, you will be a part of our technology management team involved in designing, building, and supporting software delivery units for our clients through all evolution phases, in various complexity setups, typically consisting of multiple Agile teams that continuously produce business value through incrementally delivering quality software and providing the required level of engineering support. Responsibilities: As an Delivery Director you’re expected to build, grow and transform client teams in Forte, in direct collaboration with the Engineering Management and Business Stakeholders at the client side, and lead Technical Leaders at Forte, in a way to make sure each client’s delivery unit in Forte has sufficient number of engineers in the agreed locations, with required roles and qualifications, aligned according to the team structure, trained in the agreed ways of working and tools, properly onboarded, provided with everything required for productive work, accounts, permissions, accesses and else. You are also expected to maintain transparency and provide clear visibility over the Forte team’s deliverables towards both management in Forte and stakeholders at the client side. You’re expected: * To be the top-level contact/escalation point for all requests coming from the client or from Forte management on any matters related to the team, especially when the exact responsible person is not clear or unassigned * To become an effective Functional and People Manager for Leaders, coach and develop leaders reporting to you, making sure they are capable of being effective leaders for their teams, help them identify gaps, and create personal development plans when necessary * To support Resource Management and Talent Acquisition functions — keep track of all open vacancies, make sure clear JDs are provided for open roles, make sure optimal technical interviewers are assigned per vacancy, make sure non-standard cases are reasonably handled, and provide additional information timely * To support HR BP function — make sure 121s process is set up and running, 1-2-1s happen on a regular basis, surveys and performance feedback are provided by schedule, dissatisfaction cases and risks are detected at the earliest possible stage and timely escalated, onboarding/probation/performance processes are running as scheduled, proven facts provided on actual performance and attitude * To make sure the team has a properly balanced set of required skills to deliver assigned tasks and duties, with reasonable knowledge overlap to mitigate retention risks, and is constantly improving, keep a healthy balance between sen/mid/jun roles, organize trainings and knowledge sharing activities, engage Interns and Junior developers when possible, facilitate career paths through team/role changes * To make sure the team keeps minimal possible attrition, that includes personal development process and career paths are set up and running, internal team changes and role promotions are organized across the team when possible * To make sure the team is provided with everything necessary for effective work — proper hardware provided and upgrades made when necessary, hardware devices for testing, software licenses, etc., timely requests for budgets when necessary to do an additional procurement * To make sure the team is participating and following required procedures cascaded from Forte or the client organization — such as but not limited to QBRs, all hands presentations, satisfaction surveys, feedback gathering, Security and Personal Data Protection training, etc. * To make sure the team is aligned towards Forte’s organizational goals and strategy, values, is customer-centric, and proactively contributes towards Forte and the client’s business success via excellence in technology outcomes * To make sure the team changes and business updates are transparent and proactively communicated — such as, but not limited to, team structure changes, newcomers, dismissals, open roles, client management changes, client business outcomes & future plans, etc. * To make sure the team is promoting and effectively using AI tools and gain efficiency boost in all roles during all phases of PDLC/SDLC, request required licenses, organize trainings, manage associated costs, and justify ROI from AI tools and AI-enabled practices
Requirements: * Proven experience managing teams in an Agile environment * Proven experience managing teams that deliver commercial software that is available on the market, has paying customers, and generates revenue for the client * Experience with People Management and Talent Development practices * Experience and proficiency in Agile SDLC, Project Management, and Product Management practices * Technical background in software development or quality assurance (highly desired) * Experience managing multiple teams working concurrently
