You will join a small, technically strong team where you have real influence on architecture, tooling and ways of working. You will: * Design and develop backend functionality in PHP (Laravel) and Go * Design and optimize databases (MySQL & PostgreSQL) * Build and maintain logging and observability pipelines (Elasticsearch, Filebeat, Logstash) * Automate provisioning, deployments and configuration with Terraform, Ansible and Flux * Ensure our workloads run smoothly on Kubernetes (k8s) on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) * Continuously improve the security, performance and reliability of our environments * Roll out remote updates on virtual appliances running Debian at customer locations in a secure and controlled way
Key responsibilities * Develop new features and maintain existing services in PHP/Laravel and Go * Build and optimize APIs and background workers * Design database schemas, tune queries and solve performance issues * Set up and maintain centralized logging (ELK stack) * Extend and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps flows (e.g. with Flux) * Manage infrastructure automation and configuration (Terraform, Ansible) * Operate and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters * Work on security, caching, scalability and resilience (incl. Redis, Cloudflare) * Plan, test and execute remote OS and application updates on Debian-based virtual appliances running at customer sites (including rollback scenarios and monitoring)
