Europe-based candidates only We’re looking for a Middle Automation QA (JavaScript) Engineer to join the Education/Social Impact team of a global product company — a leading platform for creating and operating real-time 3D content. You’ll work on a large-scale learning platform that serves millions of learners globally and helps them build skills in real-time software development. Must-have for the position * 2–4 years of commercial experience as a QA Engineer, with a strong focus on web test automation * Solid JavaScript/TypeScript programming skills for writing and maintaining automated tests * Hands-on experience with Playwright (or very similar modern E2E framework) for browser automation * Experience testing complex single-page applications (SPA) built with React / Next.js / Redux * Good understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and test documentation * Experience with REST/GraphQL API testing and basic debugging of client—server interactions * Practical experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and working with Git-based workflows * Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional, global team (developers, QA, PM, content team) * English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher (daily communication with international stakeholders) * Ability to work with core overlap in 8:00–17:00 GMT
Will be a strong plus * Experience in EdTech / e-learning or content-driven platforms * Exposure to accessibility testing and best practices for web content * Experience with performance, visual regression or cross-browser compatibility testing * Familiarity with cloud environments (any major provider) and monitoring/logging tools * Experience collaborating with content teams (tutorials, learning paths, interactive content) * Background in testing applications used by large user bases (thousands or millions of users)
Responsibilities * Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for the learning web platform using TypeScript + Playwright * Build and evolve the test framework and testing strategy for web UI and key user flows * Collaborate closely with developers, QA, PM and content teams to clarify requirements, acceptance criteria, and edge cases * Validate new features end-to-end: from front-end behaviour (React/Next.js/Redux) to API/GraphQL integration * Perform functional, regression, integration and smoke testing (automated first, manual where needed) * Continuously improve test coverage, stability and execution speed in CI/CD * Participate in bug triage, investigate issues, identify root causes, and verify fixes * Contribute to QA best practices, documentation, and knowledge sharing * Keep a strong focus on user experience and learning flows, ensuring a fun and reliable experience for learners
