We are looking for an IT Lawyer with experience and strong knowledge of the U.S. Corporate Law to join an American product company.
Our product is PissedConsumer, and our mission is to build communication bridges between brands and consumers to help them achieve successful outcomes.
We consider part-time cooperation.
Main responsibilities:
* Drafting and reviewing contracts.
* Maintaining and updating Terms of Service and Privacy Policies for PissedConsumer and other products.
* Providing expert legal evaluation and highlighting potential risks.
* Giving legal recommendations for product-related decisions.
* Checking legal requests emails and processing GDPR removal requests.
* Reviewing DMCA notices.
* Processing Court Orders and Subpoenas.
* Handling LVP cases.
* Staying informed on the latest trends in digital legislation.
Expectations / Requirements:
* Fluency in English (oral, written, legal).
* Experience in Corporate Law, gained at a top-tier law firm or international IT product company.
* Strong research skills.
* Familiarity with user-generated content (UGC) issues, such as defamation, content moderation, Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, and Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown procedures.
* Experience drafting and reviewing Terms of Service, Privacy Policies, and Community Guidelines.
* Knowledge of consumer protection laws and advertising disclosure requirements.
* Understanding of data privacy laws (CCPA, CPRA, and familiarity with GDPR for international users).
* Experience handling or advising on content disputes, defamation claims, and user data requests.
