We’re looking for a Hardware Compliance Specialist / Consultant to lead and deliver regulatory compliance services for our clients’ connected hardware and IoT products. You’ll work with internal engineering teams and external partners to ensure every product design is compliant with the relevant technical, safety, and environmental standards, including FCC / ISED (IC), CE / RoHS, UL and other global regulations.
Responsibilities: Lead and manage regulatory compliance projects for client IoT and electronic devices across international markets. Provide consulting and advisory services to clients on applicable standards, testing requirements, and market access strategies. Develop compliance roadmaps and ensure that certification activities are integrated into overall project plans. Support hardware design reviews and guide engineering teams on compliance-driven design decisions (EMC, RF, safety, labeling, environmental aspects). Coordinate testing and certification processes with accredited laboratories and certification partners (FCC, ISED, CE, UKCA, UL, TELEC, KC, etc.). Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and declarations of conformity. Manage environmental and materials compliance (RoHS, REACH, WEEE, battery regulations), including supplier declarations and traceability. Review markings, packaging, and user documentation for regulatory alignment.
Requirements: Proven experience managing regulatory certification projects for electronic or IoT products in multiple regions (e.g., North America, EU, UK, Asia). Strong knowledge of global conformity assessment schemes, including FCC / ISED (IC), CE / RoHS, UL, and equivalents. Experience working with accredited test laboratories and interpreting EMC, RF, safety, and environmental test reports. Ability to organize and maintain technical documentation systems and compliance evidence. Excellent technical communication and reporting skills in English.
