We’re looking for a self-governed Link Builder who takes full ownership of outreach and vendor relations — without needing day-to-day hand-holding. We’re the in-house SEO team for GetDevDone and several satellite sites in the web design & development niche. Your focus: building relevant, contextual links for our properties first, plus selected client projects in the US market.
What you will be doing: * Own end-to-end outreach: prospecting, qualifying, contact discovery, personalized pitching, follow-ups, negotiation, and closing. * Run guest posting and link insertions (niche edits), including managing relationships with publishers, bloggers, and editors. * Work with vetted link-selling partners/marketplaces where appropriate; compare offers, place orders, track SLAs, and ensure quality. * Maintain a clean pipeline and tracker (responses, status, costs, live links, anchor text, target URLs, notes). * Coordinate content needs (briefs for guest posts or contributor pieces) with our writers; ensure editorial guidelines and link-placement rules are met. * Monitor links post-publication (indexing, removals, rel=nofollow changes) and handle replacements. * Report weekly on progress, costs, quality metrics, and impact (link quality mix, response/placement rates, CPA per link, etc.).
What we’re looking for: * 1–3+ years hands-on link building/outreach for English-language markets (US focus a plus). * Strong research and vetting skills (identifying real sites vs. spam/PBN; reading traffic patterns; topical relevance). * Excellent written English (B2+); concise, personalized outreach writing. * Tool fluency: Ahrefs/SE Ranking/Semrush (backlink & prospecting), email‐finding, outreach CRM/spreadsheets. * Comfortable managing vendors/marketplaces and negotiating terms. * Disciplined, self-managed, data-driven; able to make decisions within guardrails.
Bonus points if you have: * Experience with Digital PR/source-request platforms (post-HARO ecosystem), unlinked mention reclamation, and brand collaborations. * Familiarity with Shared.Domains/Collaborator/PRNEWS.IO usage at scale. * Basic understanding of on-page SEO and content briefs.
