1. Understanding of Azure Stack HCI: Deep knowledge of its architecture, components, and how it integrates with on-premises infrastructure and Azure services.
2. Networking Skills
• Azure Networking: Understanding of virtual networks, VPNs, ExpressRoute, and integration with on-premises networks. • Software-Defined Networking (SDN): Knowledge of SDN concepts and implementation within HCI environments. • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP: Fundamental networking protocols and services.
3. Storage Solutions
• Software-Defined Storage (SDS): Expertise in setting up and managing storage, Storage Spaces Direct (S2D). • Storage Performance & Tiering: Ability to optimize storage performance and implement tiered storage strategies.
4. Hybrid Cloud Integration
• Azure Services Integration: Skills in integrating Azure services such as Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and Azure Monitor with HCI. • Azure Arc: Understanding how to manage HCI resources using Azure Arc for unified management.
5. Security Best Practices
• Identity & Access Management: Proficiency with Azure Active Directory, role-based access control (RBAC), and multi-factor authentication (MFA). • Security Configurations: Implementing security policies, encryption, and compliance standards within the HCI environment.
6. Automation & Scripting
• PowerShell: Advanced scripting skills for automating tasks, configuration, and management of Azure Stack HCI. • Azure Automation: Familiarity with automating workflows and processes using Azure Automation tools.
7. Monitoring & Management Tools
• Windows Admin Center: Expertise in using Windows Admin Center for managing HCI clusters, monitoring performance, and troubleshooting. • Azure Monitor & Log Analytics: Ability to set up and utilize monitoring solutions for proactive management and alerting.
8. Clustering & High Availability
• Failover Clustering: Skills in configuring and managing failover clusters to ensure high availability and resilience. • Disaster Recovery Planning: Developing and implementing DR strategies using Azure services and on-premises solutions.
9. Troubleshooting & Support
• Diagnostic Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve issues within the HCI infrastructure. • Performance Tuning: Optimizing system performance through regular monitoring and adjustments.
Responsibilities:
— Analyze and optimize the existing release pipeline. — Introduce e2e testing with appropriate configuration and automation. — Set up a demo environment and define a deployment strategy for it. — Implement a cherry-pick mechanism for production fixes. — Maintain documentation for the updated release process.
