Remote Node.js Backend Engineer We’re an outsourcing company, looking for a mid-level Node.js backend engineer to join our fully remote, async team. This is a part-time role (min 4 hrs/day) with the option for a long-term full-time position. Responsibilities * Daily system maintenance & customer support tickets * Debugging, writing tests, and small DB migrations * Refactoring legacy JS → TS code * Monitoring dashboards & flagging issues * Building Google Cloud Functions & internal tools
Requirements * At least 5 years of backend experience * Strong in Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, PostgreSQL * Experience with Google Cloud * At least basic React * Excellent written communication (async-first) * Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working autonomously
Nice to have: React, Redis, GitHub Actions, Grafana/Prometheus Engagement * 4+ hrs daily (required), flexible to do more * Month-to-month contract, long-term hire possible
We pay hourly, and the salary in this job posting is calculated based on a part-time 4-hour working day, about 80 hours per month. If we go full-time, that’d be $6 — $8k/month, respectively.
