Uptarget is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join one of our strategic customers, Akuna Curb — an innovative video-streaming platform delivering professionally produced short-form content. Our mission is to provide an engaging, high-quality viewing experience for audiences across North America.
We are looking for an experienced backend engineer to help us scale, optimize, and enhance our platform for millions of viewers. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Node.js and TypeScript. * Build scalable, high-performance APIs to power our professional video-streaming platform. * Integrate with third-party services and APIs, ensuring reliability and security. * Optimize backend systems for speed, efficiency, and scalability to handle large user volumes and streaming content. * Collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver seamless user experiences. * Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and system design decisions. * Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend issues in a timely manner.
Requirements * 5+ years of professional backend development experience. * Strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript. * Solid experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) for cloud-based deployments and services. * Proven track record of building and scaling production-ready APIs. * Experience working with third-party integrations (e.g., payment gateways, authentication providers, analytics tools) is a strong plus. * Familiarity with video-streaming technologies, content delivery networks (CDNs), and media encoding is a plus. * Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices. * Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
