We’re seeking a talented Streaming Infrastructure Engineer to lead critical technical initiatives in our video platform. You’ll work directly with our engineering team to modernize our streaming stack, implement new capabilities, and ensure rock-solid reliability for our transcoding and streaming services.
This is a hands-on technical role where you’ll have significant impact on our core infrastructure. We move fast, ship frequently, and value engineers who can balance innovation with stability. Your Key Objectives * Architect and execute the migration of our live streaming infrastructure from Open Media Engine (OME) to GStreamer, ensuring zero downtime and improved performance * Design and implement sophisticated live streaming capabilities including dynamic overlays, real-time graphics, watermarking, and other broadcast-quality features * Provide expert-level support and optimization for our existing transcoding and live streaming infrastructure, ensuring 99.9%+ uptime
Technical Requirements * 5+ years of experience in video streaming, transcoding, or broadcast engineering * Deep expertise with FFMpeg or GStreamer: plugin development, pipeline optimization, and debugging * Strong background in live streaming protocols: RTMP, RTSP, WebRTC, HLS, DASH * Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for systems programming * Experience with video codecs (H.264, H.265, VP9, AV1) and container formats * Understanding of CDN integration and edge computing for video delivery * Familiarity with FFmpeg, OpenCV, or similar video processing libraries
