We are looking for a proactive and independent Manual QA Engineer to join our team working on a cutting-edge healthcare data integration platform based on HL7 v2.x and FHIR standards. The solution ensures seamless interoperability between medical systems (EHR/EMR, RIS, PACS) and enables real-time clinical data exchange and transformation. Strong communication skills and willingness to interact with international clients are essential.
Key features include: * Dynamic HL7 message mapping tailored to different clinic-specific formats using a multi-tenant architecture. * Automated message processing (parsing, transformation, validation, normalization) that reduces manual work and increases data quality. * Scalable and configurable onboarding of new clinics without major code changes. * Support for standard HL7 segments (ADT, ORU, ORM, etc.) and transport protocols: MLLP, TCP, SFTP, RESTful FHIR API, and more.
Requirements: * 5 years of experience in manual QA for integration- high load or healthcare projects. * Solid understanding of HL7 v2.x segments (ADT, ORU, ORM) and FHIR resources (Patient, Observation, DiagnosticReport). * Experience with HL7 message validation and parsing. * Familiarity with data transport protocols and integration patterns. * Ability to read logs, debug message flow, and track down root causes of errors. * Tools: Postman/Insomnia for API testing, HL7 parsers/viewers. * Upper-intermediate English (both spoken and written).
Will be a Plus: * Experience with security and compliance (HIPAA, GDPR, FDA). * Knowledge of cloud architecture (AWS), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure testing. * Familiarity with HL7 message analytics and performance testing. * Participation in HL7 or FHIR certification programs or workshops.
Responsibilities: * Create and execute manual test cases for functional, integration, regression, and edge case scenarios. * Validate HL7/FHIR messages, including structure, segment accuracy, and business logic. * Perform protocol testing: MLLP/TCP, SFTP, RESTful API, SOAP, MQ. * Review mapping logic, data transformations, and exception handling. * Test multi-tenant workflows and clinic onboarding processes. * Analyze logs, handle ACK/NACKs, and troubleshoot HL7 integration issues. * Actively participate in test planning and defect triage with the team. * Maintain well-documented test cases and support documentation processes. * Collaborate with DevOps and architects to ensure proper test coverage in CI/CD pipelines. * Communicate directly with international customers regarding requirements, issues, and feedback.
