BUILDCHECK™—a dynamic, venture-backed Stanford University startup—is looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer to drive innovation in the construction technology space. We’re on a bold mission: revolutionizing construction workflows by building the industry’s first AI-powered “spell-checker” for construction blueprints. Our solution helps architects, developers, and contractors detect costly errors before they become expensive problems. Your responsibilities: * Develop scalable single-page applications using NextJS. * Build and maintain RESTful backend services using FastAPI. * Integrate frontend applications with AI-driven backend services. * Ensure seamless deployment and continuous integration on Vercel, AWS, and Github. * Collaborate with ML and product teams to implement interactive AI-powered features. * Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues proactively, optimize for speed and scalability. * Stay current with modern web technologies, contributing best practices across engineering teams.
Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. * 4+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development. * Strong proficiency with NextJS, React, and modern JavaScript frameworks. * Extensive experience developing backend APIs using Python and FastAPI. * Proven track record deploying applications to cloud services (Vercel, AWS). * Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL). * Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills: * Familiarity with Serverless architectures. * Experience with Docker and containerized application deployment. * Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools. * Familiarity with design collaboration tools (e.g., Figma). * Understanding of UX principles and frontend design best practices.
