About the Role
This is a DevOps+ role that blends infrastructure, automation, and backend system design. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys both building scalable platforms and working closely with the code.
DevOps / Infrastructure responsibilities: * Manage and provision cloud infrastructure using Terraform (IaC) * Deploy and orchestrate containers with Docker and Kubernetes * Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub) * Work across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premise Kubernetes clusters * Ensure system reliability, security, and performance at scale
Backend / System Engineering responsibilities: * Design and implement stateful workflows using Temporal.io or Cadence * Handle failure recovery, activity orchestration, and state management * Deploy and manage vector databases like Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, or Milvus * Develop and maintain RESTful or gRPC APIs for internal services and tooling * Contribute to overall architecture and high-level system design
Note: Overlap till 8 pm, ideally 9 pm UA time is required. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Professional Experience * Durable Execution Systems: This is the most critical skill for the role. Deep, hands-on experience building and debugging complex, long-running, stateful workflows using Temporal.io or Cadence is required. Candidates must be able to thoroughly discuss the design of Activities, failure handling, and state management. * Cloud & DevOps: Professional experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform. Strong expertise in Docker and Kubernetes, including proven experience deploying applications across major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and managing on-premise Kubernetes clusters. * Vector Database Management: Proven experience deploying, managing, and optimizing vector databases at scale. Must have worked with at least one of the following: Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, or Milvus. * API Development & Version Control: Extensive experience designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable RESTful or gRPC APIs. Professional proficiency with GitHub, including branching strategies and CI/CD workflows.
