Responsibilities * Have a large amount of impact and autonomy * Establish and lead initiatives like code review, unit testing, documentation, etc. * Lead the engineering team of ~ 20 people and manage/train junior staff * Work with highly technical clients in the life science space. * Drive multiple projects and deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality solutions * Build, own, and deploy critical parts of the product * Cultivate best engineering and coding practice * Manage a remote team on GMT +2/+3 time zone
Requirements * B.S. or more advanced degrees in Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree * 5+ years as an engineer and 2+ years of experience leading a team of at least 5 people * Very strong engineer with a passion for performance, capable to lead by example * Expert in any: (C++, C#, JS, TS, Dart). Comfortable with new languages * You get things done, no bs and no excuses * Experience with software architecture and DevOps * Strong soft, verbal, and written communication skills. Fluent in English
Nice to have * Life sciences/academia background / Ph.D. is a strong plus * Start-up experience and passion for building things from the ground up * Algorithms, data processing, high-performance computing, ML * UX and good aesthetic taste, interactive visualizations, web development
