We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Middle QA Engineer to join our team at Dedicatted, a leading software development vendor. Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications, focusing on functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. * Perform various types of testing to ensure the robustness and accuracy of our software. * Conduct thorough API testing, specifically for search APIs, and marketplace intelligence APIs, validating data retrieval, consistency, and integration. * Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution. * Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand project requirements and contribute to the overall quality strategy. * Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings, actively contributing to an Agile development process. * Provide clear and concise status updates on testing progress and defect reports to stakeholders.
Required Skills: * Proven experience as a QA Engineer, preferably in a middle-level role, with a strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. * API Testing: Strong ability to test API services, including search APIs, external web search APIs (like Tavily or Serper), and marketplace intelligence APIs, to ensure correct data retrieval and integration. * Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI). * Solid experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail). * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Desired Qualifications: * Understanding of AI concepts: Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and concepts like hallucination, bias, and confidence scores, would be a plus. * Conversational AI Testing: Experience in testing conversational flows, evaluating response relevance, coherence, and helpfulness, and identifying instances of misinterpretation or irrelevant recommendations would be a plus. * Ability to search, generate and manage data for AI models would be a plus. * Experience with automated testing frameworks and scripting (e.g., Python, Selenium, Playwright) would be a plus. * Recommendation system testing experience would be a plus. * Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) would be a plus. * Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
