Position Overview We’re seeking an experienced Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer for a contract engagement to enhance our AWS infrastructure and deployment processes. You’ll work with our existing TypeScript/AWS Lambda stack to optimize our cloud infrastructure, improve CI/CD pipelines, and strengthen our platform foundations.

Key Responsibilities • Optimize and enhance AWS Lambda-based infrastructure and deployments • Improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and AWS services • Work with RDS/PostgreSQL databases for performance and reliability optimization • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability for Lambda functions • Enhance security configurations and AWS IAM policies • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes • Debug production issues and optimize system performance
What We’re Looking For • 5+ years of DevOps/Platform engineering experience with production systems • Strong AWS Lambda expertise — deep understanding of serverless architectures and optimization • GitHub Actions proficiency — can build and enhance CI/CD pipelines immediately • RDS/PostgreSQL experience — database administration, backup strategies, and performance tuning • TypeScript familiarity — understand the applications you’re deploying and supporting • Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform/CloudFormation) • Self-directed: can assess existing infrastructure and implement improvements independently
Required Technical Skills • AWS Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch • GitHub Actions and CI/CD best practices • PostgreSQL administration and optimization • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) • TypeScript/Node.js application deployment
