We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join the team and contribute to a product that’s making shopping smarter, more social, and more rewarding. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with Node.js and Express, writing well-tested, maintainable code, and adhering to high development standards.
You will work in a test-driven environment that prioritises code quality and coverage, producing backend features that are clean, scalable, and fully verified through automated testing.
Our client is building a beautifully designed shopping wishlisting platform that helps young women organise, discover, and share the things they love — and even earn rewards while doing it.
With a rapidly growing global community, the platform transforms online shopping into a social and rewarding experience. Users can create curated collections, collaborate with friends, and shop from anywhere using the mobile app, web, or Chrome extension. Each purchase through the platform’s links supports affiliate-based rewards — a core driver of its business and user engagement.
Requirements
— 4+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js and Express in production environments
— Proficiency in writing automated tests with high code coverage (100% required)
— Solid understanding of backend architecture, RESTful APIs, and testing frameworks
— Computer Science degree (Bachelor’s or higher)
— Ability to write high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented code
— Comfortable working with ticket-based Agile processes
— Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently
— Upper Intermediate level of English
— Availability to work with overlap until 8-9 PM Ukrainian time.
Responsibilities
— Write clean, modular code using Node.js and Express;
— Ensure 100% test coverage for all submitted code;
— Submit work aligned with internal coding standards;
— Participate in pull request reviews (both giving and receiving feedback);
— Contribute to sprint planning and collaborate with other developers and stakeholders;
— Implement and validate backend functionality.
