AQA Team Lead (Playwright + Cypress)
Remote / Full-time
We’re looking for an experienced Automation QA Lead to join our team and drive quality across the product. If you’re passionate about building reliable test automation, mentoring QA engineers, and using modern tools like Playwright, Cypress, and AI-powered assistants — we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers;
* Define and implement QA strategy, test plans, and test cases for complex applications;
* Perform both manual and automated testing to ensure product quality;
* Design and maintain robust test automation frameworks (Playwright / Cypress);
* Drive migration from Cypress to Playwright;
* Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.);
* Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams;
* Promote QA best practices, including the use of AI tools in testing.
✅ Requirements:
* Manual Testing: strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing; detail-oriented; clear bug reporting;
* Automation: solid hands-on experience with Playwright and Cypress; experience migrating between frameworks;
* CI/CD: integration of tests into pipelines, debugging failed runs;
* AI Tools: experience with AI agents (Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini CLI, etc.) for code/test generation and debugging;
* Version control: confident in using Git (branching, pull requests, conflict resolution);
* Soft Skills: leadership and communication skills; ability to explain technical topics clearly to different stakeholders.

* Experience with performance, usability, or security testing;
* Interest in how AI will shape the future of QA.
