Audit & Enhance User Experience Across Three Integrated Cloud Applications — Retail Kiosk Self-Service, Retail Administrative tool, and Mobile retail store operations App.
Project Overview: We are looking for an experienced UX/UI consultant with self-service retail product development experience to conduct a professional design audit of our vending software ecosystem, which includes: * Kiosk App — A customer-facing Android-based touchscreen interface on physical vending machines. * Administrative App — A web-based tool used by our team and B2B clients for configuration and machine management. * Mobile Stocking App — A web-based application used by entry level retail employees for product restocking and maintenance.
These apps are in active use, functional, and stable — but we want to improve their design and usability to meet today’s best UX/UI standards.
Our Goal: Match and exceed competitors by improving user experience. This audit should help us align our design with modern UX/UI trends, usability principles, and user expectations across touchscreen and web application interfaces. We’re not just looking to fix usability bugs — we’re aiming to upgrade the overall user experience to be competitive, fluid, and intuitive
Objectives: * Identify usability issues, friction points, and outdated design patterns. * Analyze UI consistency, layout logic, and responsiveness across apps. * Evaluate user flows and interaction models for clarity and efficiency. * Benchmark against modern UX/UI best practices and competitor standards. * Provide a prioritized list of recommendations — from quick wins to strategic redesigns. * Share inspiration or mockups based on current design trends.
Deliverables: * A UX/UI audit report covering all three apps (individually or in one unified document). * Annotated screenshots with identified issues and suggested improvements. * Competitive insights or references to design patterns used in similar apps. * Wireframes or visual suggestions for improvement.
What We’re Looking For: * Proven self-service experience in UX/UI auditing for digital products — ideally SaaS administrative apps, retail industry apps, or kiosk-based interfaces. * Deep understanding of modern UX/UI trends, usability, and component design. * Fluent English required: Strong communication and documentation skills. * Experience with self-service kiosks * Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA). * Skills in design system thinking.
Timeline: We’re aiming for a turnaround within 2 weeks with ongoing work based on adoption of recommendations
