Omnora (fka SlidePresenter) is the leading video platform for employee-generated learning. We’re used in more than 650 major companies and numerous industries in Europe. With Omnora, employees can capture, edit and share their knowledge in a learning video with just few clicks. No special knowledge, hardware or software is required.
The employee-generated video content can be published either in the company’s own learning systems or the integrated Omnora video portal. The collective knowledge is thus available to all employees on-demand. Frequent requests from colleagues, time-consuming live training sessions and extensive documentation are thus no longer necessary. Responsibilities: * Server Infrastructure Management:
Take charge of maintaining, configuring, and optimizing our critical bare metal servers equipped with hypervisors to support our virtualization environments. Ensure that our server infrastructure remains highly available, secure, and performing at its best. * Onboarding and Offboarding:
Play a key role in facilitating the seamless onboarding process for new team members, setting up their IT accounts, access permissions, and necessary tools. Handle the offboarding process for departing employees, ensuring that their accounts are deactivated securely and data integrity is maintained. * Infrastructure Monitoring:
Employ your expertise in monitoring tools, including Zabbix and Thor-Lite, to keep a vigilant eye on the health and performance of our server infrastructure. Proactively detect and resolve any issues to minimize downtime and uphold the reliability of our systems. * Virtual Machine Management:
Demonstrate your proficiency in managing virtual machines (VMs) across both Linux and Windows Server platforms. Efficiently create, update, and manage VMs, and perform smooth migrations when necessary to optimize resource utilization. * Collaboration with Server Providers:
Act as the primary liaison with our server providers, establishing and maintaining effective communication channels for technical matters, upgrades, and escalations. * Workflow Automation and Documentation:
Showcase your automation skills by developing and implementing scripts and tools to streamline repetitive tasks and improve workflows. Thoroughly document all processes, configurations, and incidents to ensure knowledge sharing and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
Requirements * Experience:
We are seeking a dedicated IT Administrator with a proven track record in managing server infrastructures and handling virtualization environments. Virtualization: Proficiency in working with hypervisors and managing VMs on both Linux and Windows Server platforms is essential for this role. * Monitoring Tools:
Familiarity with monitoring tools like Zabbix and Thor-Lite is crucial to efficiently track and address the performance of our server infrastructure. * Communication:
Excellent communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with team members and external server providers. Automation Skills: Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) are highly valued as we continuously seek to enhance efficiency. * Problem-solving:
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently is essential. * Documentation:
Thoroughness in documenting processes, configurations, and incidents will be highly appreciated, as we emphasize knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. * Adaptability:
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously is crucial to succeed in this role. * Certifications:
Any relevant certifications in IT administration, virtualization, or server management will be advantageous.
