About the Project We’re seeking an experienced .NET Developer (Senior or Lead level) to join a long-term project for a client in the life sciences industry. The client operates a mission-critical quality management system (QMS) used daily by multiple regulated companies across Europe.
The solution has been in production for over 8 years and is under continuous improvement. It supports medical and pharma businesses in meeting regulatory compliance through robust document handling, traceability, and auditability. You will join at a key time: the team is growing, and one of the existing developers is planning to transition out, so your expertise will be vital for maintaining system continuity and driving innovation.
Due to an NDA, the client’s name is confidential, but you will work directly with the System Owner and Technical Lead on a system that’s part of critical infrastructure in regulated environments. Responsibilities * Develop and maintain web application features using .NET Framework (C#) and ASP.NET. * Support and improve the backend system, currently used by 30+ clients in live environments. * Debug and resolve issues in legacy modules, especially document workflow functionality. * Work closely with QA to plan and implement automated testing for high-risk areas. * Optimize database performance and maintain SQL Server schema integrity. * Collaborate on architectural decisions, refactoring, and system scalability improvements. * Contribute to CI/CD processes and work with Microsoft Azure infrastructure (App Services, SQL DB). * Participate in documentation and validation processes in line with GxP and CSV practices.
Requirements * 5+ years of commercial experience with .NET Framework / C#. * Proficiency in ASP.NET Web Forms or MVC and backend development. * Experience with SQL Server (2012+), T-SQL, indexing, stored procedures. * Good understanding of IIS, Windows Server environments, and Azure PaaS. * Experience with Git and modern software delivery workflows. * Frontend experience with AngularJS (1.6.x), JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. * Upper-Intermediate level of English (spoken and written). * Ability to work independently and communicate directly with the client team.
Nice to Have * Knowledge of test automation frameworks or ability to implement testing from scratch. * Experience with highly regulated domains (GxP, medical, pharma, etc.). * Familiarity with complex database schemas and document-based workflows. * Used libraries like AutoMapper, Newtonsoft.Json, TuesPechkin, Spire, etc. * Understanding of electronic signature processes and PDF/document generation.
