TheTop — early-stage AI startup is hiring a Prompt Engineer to join our founding team. We’re building a personal AI assistant that helps busy decision-makers start each day with clarity — by generating a smart, personalized brief based on work, personal, and market updates.
You’ll be the first person fully focused on shaping how our AI speaks, understands, summarizes, and recommends. If you’ve recently switched to this field and already have solid hands-on experience with prompting — we want to talk.
Good to know: We’re already funded for 2+ years of runway, so while we’re an early-stage startup, we’re financially stable and continue raising additional funds to accelerate growth. What You’ll Do * Design and test high-quality prompts for GPT/LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) * Work on few-shot, zero-shot, and chain-of-thought prompting techniques * Develop smart prompt templates for summarization, prioritization, analysis, and tone control * Iterate quickly based on user feedback and test results * Collaborate closely with our founder, CTO, and end users * Optional: contribute to Python workflows if you have a coding background
Requirements * 3+ months of hands-on experience with prompt engineering for LLMs * Completed a course or practical project in prompt design or LLM application * Background in tech — former developer, QA, analyst, or similar * Understanding of how GPT-style models behave and fail * Strong logical thinking and communication skills * English proficiency (B2+) — you’ll write, test, and fine-tune in English
Will Be a Plus * Experience with LangChain, GPT-4, Claude, or other LLM frameworks * Python basics (reading/debugging scripts or building small flows) * Experience with prompt-based agents, RAG, or AI task orchestration * Previous work on chatbots, assistants, or AI tools
