Deveit is looking for a skilled Shopify Developer to join our team and work on e-commerce solutions for international clients. The role involves building, customizing, and optimizing Shopify stores.
Responsibilities: * Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes and apps * Implement responsive front-end interfaces from design tools like Figma * Integrate third-party services and APIs into Shopify and other CMS platforms * Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and project managers to deliver high-quality e-commerce solutions * Optimize websites for performance, SEO, and accessibility * Create and maintain custom WordPress plugins and themes * Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers * Monitor and improve site security, scalability, and maintainability
Requirements: * Proven experience in e-commerce development using Shopify * Strong skills in frontend development (HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery) * Basic knowledge of WordPress/WooCommerce and MySQL * Knowledge of Git workflows and Docker basics * Familiarity with common web security practices (XSS, CSRF, CORS, SQL Injection) * Ability to translate designs into pixel-perfect interfaces * Good communication skills and experience working in remote teams
Must Have: * Experience with Shopify and Liquid templating language * Proficiency in HTML, CSS, SCSS, and responsive web design * Strong JavaScript skills, including jQuery * Git: branching, pull requests, code reviews * Familiarity with hosting platforms: WPEngine, Pantheon, Bluehost * Basic knowledge of Docker * Understanding of SEO best practices * Awareness of modern web development trends * Ability to mentor junior developers * Awareness and handling of common security threats: SQL injections, CSRF, XSS, CORS
Nice to Have: * Understanding of OOP principles and common design patterns * Familiarity with DDD, DRY, KISS principles * Experience with GitHub or Bitbucket * Exposure to other CMS/E-commerce platforms like BigCommerce, HubSpot CMS * Experience in database design and performance optimization * Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
