We’re looking for a Tech Lead to drive architecture and engineering leadership for a high-impact, mobile-first logistics platform in agriculture. A key challenge: optimizing complex real-time delivery routes and demand-matching via a core engine called OLA (Optimizing Logistics Algorithms). This role is ideal for someone with a deep background in Python OOP, performance optimization, and microservices architecture — particularly in high-load, real-time systems.
What You’ll Do: * Design and lead scalable microservices in Python (FastAPI) with real-time computation needs * Architect optimization-heavy features (e.g. route/matching algorithms, supply-demand logic) * Build multiprocessing systems for large-scale parallel calculations * Drive system decomposition (monolith → microservices) and deployment in AWS/Kubernetes * Promote clean OOP, code reuse, abstraction layers, and modular architecture
What We’re Looking For: * 7+ years in backend/full-stack engineering, 3+ in a leadership role * Strong Python skills, especially OOP and abstraction design * Experience with optimization problems (e.g. linear programming, graph algorithms) * Hands-on with microservices, multiprocessing, and scalable API design * Deployment experience on AWS, Kubernetes, ECS, or EC2 * Solid grasp of performance tuning, profiling, and database scaling (PostgreSQL, read replicas) * Education: Masters in Computer science or similar
Will be a plus: * Familiarity with Google OR-Tools or custom routing algorithms * Experience with Git submodules and shared module management * Background in logistics, routing, or supply chain systems
This role is for engineers who can think architecturally, optimize intelligently, and lead confidently. Only candidates with real experience in Python OOP, system-level optimization, and cloud-based microservices will be considered.
