Job Summary
Westland Insurance is seeking a a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer for a three-month contract (with potential extension) focusing on delivering robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions for projects in the insurance sector. This contract is fully remote and for someone who has a strong background in cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automation, with a proven track record of supporting enterprise-grade applications in regulated environments.
About the Role
In this role, you will collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline deployment processes, enhance system reliability, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will be instrumental in modernizing legacy systems, optimizing cloud-native architectures, and driving continuous improvement across the software delivery lifecycle.
Responsibilities * Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for insurance applications. * Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. * Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across development, staging, and production environments. * Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements specific to the insurance industry. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support agile development and DevSecOps practices. * Optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for cost, performance, and scalability. * Implement observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) to ensure high availability and reliability.
Experience and Qualifications * 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles. * Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). * Proficiency in scripting languages (Golang, Python, Bash, etc.). * Proficiency in working with Terraform or similar * API Gateway pattern * Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). * Familiarity with insurance domain standards, data privacy, and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001). * Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
