We are looking for an experienced Level Artist (middle+/senior), who can create photo-realistic outdoor levels in a real-time proprietary game engine. Create photo-realistic levels with a landscape, foliage, set up lighting, atmosphere, placing assets, etc.
Requirements — Experience with game engines such as Unreal/Unity, CryEngine/Lumberyard or any modern proprietary game engine. — 3+ years of AA+ game development experience in a similar role. — Good understanding of lighting, composition, colour coding. — Understanding of level design metrics — Understanding of resource balancing and experience optimising scenes. -Thorough knowledge of PBR workflow — Jira/Perforce experience is a plus.
Responsibilities You will work closely with Level Design, 3D and Tech Art departments to create outstanding game levels. — Deep knowledge of material setting. — Instancing locations — foliage, architecture and props. — Work with atmosphere and overall feel. — Set lighting standards, quality targets, and conduct visual prototypes. — Team player with excellent communication skills
Nice to have — Artistic/architectural/engineering education or background. — Versatility in used tools and performed tasks. — Understanding of both modern and legacy real-time rendering tech and lighting principles. — Knowledge of additional software is a plus (Speedtree, Houdini, etc.). — Gamer and lover of natural landscapes — Proactive attitude.
