About the Role: We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our data platform team. You will play a critical role in designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and infrastructure in the cloud. This is a hands-on role focused on advanced data engineering using AWS, Scala, Python, and Java.Responsibilities: * Design and implement robust, scalable, and efficient data pipelines using AWS cloud services * Work with large-scale distributed systems and real-time streaming data * Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and developers to enable data-driven decision-making * Optimize performance and reliability of ETL/ELT processes * Manage and improve data infrastructure, ensuring data quality, security, and availability * Develop reusable code libraries and frameworks in Scala, Python, and Java * Implement CI/CD for data workflows and infrastructure-as-code
Required Qualifications: * 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering * Strong experience with AWS ecosystem (e.g., S3, EMR, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions, Athena) * Proficient in Scala (must-have), Python, and Java * Hands-on experience with Spark (especially PySpark or Scala Spark) * Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and performance tuning * Experience with workflow/orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or similar * Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control (Git), and CI/CD tools * Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
Nice to Have: * Experience with streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis) * Familiarity with data governance and cataloging tools * Background in FinTech, or similar data-intensive domains
