Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated Business Analyst to join the FinTech project. In this role you will become the part of the experienced cross-functional team to design and develop a responsive, high-performance and visually appealing web application. The ideal candidate has a passion for innovation, attention to details and commitment to delivering quality solutions.
This position not only involves the discovery, analysis, and documentation of business requirements, but also includes participation in Level 1–2 support activities. These support duties will be performed upon client request and in close collaboration with the development and QA teams, ensuring smooth resolution of user issues and contributing to the overall client satisfaction and product improvement.
Our project is a financial planning platform designed to help businesses manage their budgets and cash flow effectively. This solution allows companies to connect their bank accounts and payment systems, import and categorize transactions, analyze revenue and expense patterns, manage invoices, plan short- and long-term business strategies, consolidate financial data and prepare reporting for banks and other interested parties.
Project Technologies and Tools: * Development methodology: the project follows Agile practices, specifically using the Scrum framework to manage the development lifecycle. * Technologies: Python with the Django framework is used for server-side development; the client-side interface is developed using Angular. * Project management tool: Jira is utilized for task management, sprint planning, time tracking, and overall project coordination.
Key Responsibilities: * Communicate with the client to gather and clarify business requirements. Translate business processes into clear documentation such as use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria. * Coordinate and deliver Level 1–2 support activities upon client request. * Apply AI to enhance business analysis, decision-making, and user experience insights. * Elicitate detailed functional and non-functional requirements. * Break down requirements into actionable tasks and user stories in Jira. Manage and prioritize the product backlog. * Collaborate closely with the development team, provide ongoing support and clarification to the team throughout the development lifecycle. * Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure user interface designs align with business goals and user requirements. * Assist in preparing reports and other documentation as needed.
Requirements: * 3+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst in IT projects. * Strong technical background — prior experience in software development, system analysis, or quality assurance is a plus. * Experience or familiarity with the finance industry. * Proven expertise in requirements gathering, documentation, and business process modeling. * Hands-on experience with AI tools (must have + must demonstrate an interest in applying AI to business use cases). * Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal). * Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. * Ability to clearly present findings, requirements, and solutions to the clients and internal team. * Practical experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, including backlog refinement and task management in tools like Jira.
