About project: Our client is a US-based technology consultancy focused on digital transformation and data-driven innovation. The project aims to enhance customer engagement and operational efficiency through scalable, AI-powered solutions. Key areas include data integration, real-time analytics, and enterprise-wide data governance. It also involves developing secure, user-friendly digital experiences tailored to industry-specific needs. The client operates across multiple sectors, including healthcare, finance, retail, and manufacturing. Your area of responsibility: * Designing and implementing enterprise-wide Data Governance & MDM frameworks; * Developing policies for Access Management, Data Quality, Classification, and Master Data; * Leading the implementation of Microsoft Purview, Unity Catalog, and MDM platforms; * Collaborating with Capability Leads to align governance with overall data architecture; * Integrating governance and MDM processes into Azure and Databricks ecosystems; * Defining and enforcing access control and data classification policies; * Establishing KPIs and reporting to measure governance & MDM effectiveness; * Leading and mentoring a global team of governance professionals.
Skills and requirements: * 10+ years in Data Governance & Master Data Management; * 3+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks; * 5+ years working with Microsoft Azure (Synapse, Data Factory, ADLS); * Strong experience with Microsoft Purview, Unity Catalog, and MDM tools; * Proven track record in leading global governance initiatives; * Expertise in managing access, quality, and classification of data; * Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Will be a plus: * Experience working in compliance-driven environments (GDPR, HIPAA); * Certifications in Azure, MDM, or governance platforms.
